On this side of "the pond", it's called a Football. Soccer balls are a better seller by far.

While I did nail the color pretty close, and most of the lines were "okay", I was nonetheless disappointed. But perfectionism is truly a fault of mine(one I'm trying to break -in a big way!). 

 

This was a fairly tricky design, actually!
